Circuit Judge Joy Booth

Judge Joy Booth is a Circuit Judge of Autauga County. She is married and has three children.  Judge Booth graduated from Autauga Academy in 1994, Auburn University in 1997 and Jones School of Law in 2000.  She was in private law practice and Prattville’s City Prosecutor from 2000 until 2010, along with acting as Special District Judge in Autauga County.  In 2010, Judge Booth was appointed District Judge and elected in 2012.  Judge Booth also serves as a Special Circuit Judge for Protection from Abuse cases.  She was elected Circuit Judge in 2022.

Judge Booth is a lifelong resident of Autauga County and has supported and served on many local boards.  She is currently Chairperson of the Autauga County Children’s Policy Council, which received the 2017 Award of Excellence.  She is past President of the Juvenile Judges’ Association and has served on the Alabama Juvenile Justice Task Force and on the Court Improvement Committee.
